Barefoot in blue

So a while ago Essie and Toms was having a contest where they gave away 15,000 polishes over 15 days and apparently I won because I got my polish today!

This promotion was for the One Day without shoes event happening April 10 where people are supposed to go barefoot to raise awareness of the children who don't have shoes all over the world.

This limited edition nail polish is called Barefoot in Blue. I haven't tried it yet but I will very soon!

Did anyone else get this polish and if so how are you liking it?

Limited Wet N Wild +Bonus

I ended up going to pick up the Wet N Wild limited edition Fauna collection today. While I was there I saw that they had some of the Wet n Wild Ice baby nail colors so I picked one up! I didn't get any of these when they where out around christmas so I was excited to see them. The one I got is called 24 Carats. Finally I went to Ross last night and I saw that they had one Physicians Formula Healthy Wear™ SPF 50 Tinted Moisturizer laying around for $5.99 so I had to get it! I LOVE the Healthy Wear powder foundation so I really wanted to try this out. Still testing it but so far it's a keeper :]

(Please ignore the turned around lip gloss and bad background :p)

That completes my latest buys. Sorry for my lack of posts lately, I have been really busy! I have another post about Revlon Lip Butters that I plan to post soon so check back later.

Milani Glitter

I got this Milani One Coat Glitter Nail Lacquer in Purple Gleam a while back and I fell in love with the color. The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't have enough shine too it. So I though I would test it out with my Milani Glossé Top Coat. Lets just say it's fantastic!!

So as you can see here the color goes on dull but very opaque. This was two thin layers. Very easy to apply and such a pretty color.

So I started with one layer of the Glossé Top Coat but it wasn't enough. It did make it shiny but it still had a ruff feeling to the nails. So I kept applying till it felt smooth. I think it was about three coats. If you use this top coat you just have to play around with thin and thick coats and just see when your nail looks good. I really wish I could have shown the true color of this polish. With the top coat its the most beautiful purple color. I can't stop looking at my nails!

I only painted the top coat on one hand so you can see the difference between the top coat and the normal color. I don't know if you can really tell in the picture. you really have to see it in person. It really does make a difference!

After testing this out I am really happy to say that the Glossé Top Coat works well! I will definitely re purchase if I run out.

These both sell for $4.99.

Just a note, I looked at a whole bunch of CVS stores before I looked at Walgreens and found it. I don't know if its only sold at Walgreens or I have really bad luck but if you want this you should check out Walgreens first.

Dark purple look

Trying out the matte colors in the Wet N Wild color icon in Lust. I tried one of the colors before and I didn't get enough color on the brush so the color ended up being hard to blend. The second try was much better! I really do love all the Wet N Wild eyeshadow colors.

For this I used number 1 and 2 for the lid and crease. I also used some of the sparkly light color as a highlight.

Just a note, the 8 pan color icon pallets have been discontinued this year. Some places do still have them and they are on sale. Thats about all I have to say about this look. Just wanted to shear what I wore today!

Thanks for looking :]

Milani Infinite liquid eye liner, it lasts!

Today I'm reviewing the Milani Infinite Liquid eye liner in Eternal. I picked this up last month when Milani had lots of items on sale for 75%. This is supposed to last 24 hours, and let me just say, this stuff LASTS!. I haven't tried sleeping in this but I'm sure if I did it would stay through that.

The normal price is $6.99.

I did a swatch on my hand to test how long it would last with hand washing.

Now I have to comment on the brush. It is really, REALLY soft. It does make it a little hard to apply since you can't feel the brush on your eye much. It is very thin though and I found it easy to apply a thin line. The formula is a little thick so you have to make sure you wipe off the extra. Over all though the formula is good.

Ok so I took some picture after wearing this from 3pm till 1 am. I must say it still looks like when I applied it! It crackled a tinny bit but not enough to notice much. Even the swatch on my hand looks good! When I used my face wipe to get it off my hand I had to scrub very hard to get it off. Please ignore the horrible coloring in these photos.

Overall I love this! I will definitely pick this up in different colors if there is ever another sale.
Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed this post!

I did my nails like this a while ago an I wanted to post a picture of it because I loved it so much!

This is Wet N Wild Wild Shine in Tickled Pink and Sparked with a coat of China Glaze Crackle Glaze in Cracked Concrete over it.

Also here is a photo I posted before without the crackle top coat.

Just a quick review on all of these polishes.

Tickled Pink is a really pretty cream pink. It was kind of a pain to apply because it tended to look uneven if not applied really carefully. But once applied it looked very natural and pretty.

Sparked was just a standard pink glitter. It's a think glitter so have to apply a few coats to get real close together shine. The base for the polish is thin and not super gloppy like some glitter polishes I have.

Cracked Concrete is a nice grey crackle polish. Easy to apply and cracked nice! I got this because I wanted to try a crackle polish and this was on sale for two dollars at Sally Beauty.

So there you have it! A quick post for today :)
